Silestone Countertops: Colors, Collections and Cost Guide
Aqua Kitchen stocks 83 Silestone colors at our Wayne, New Jersey showroom. 62 of them are in Cosentino current US line. The other 21 are no longer listed by the factory and are only available while our slabs last. This guide lists every one, with its collection, the finishes and thicknesses Cosentino publishes for it, and what the slab size means for seams in a real kitchen.
Two details are worth getting right before you start comparing colors. Silestone is now built around Hybriq+ technology and carries a crystalline silica label on every color. And across all 62 current colors, Cosentino lists only two finishes, polished and suede. Older guides that describe a third volcano finish are working from an earlier catalog.
What Silestone is made of now
Cosentino launched Hybriq+ in 2020 and used it first on two collections, Loft and Sunlit Days. Since 2023 every Silestone color is manufactured with it. Cosentino describes the result as a mineral low-silica surface made from premium minerals and recycled materials rather than as a quartz surface.
The practical part for a homeowner is the label. Cosentino publishes a maximum crystalline silica figure on each color: Q40 means up to 40 percent, Q10 means up to 10 percent. Silestone XM is the name Cosentino gives the full Q10 range, and its XM pages name Le Chic, Sunlit Days and Loft as XM collections. Cosentino also lists 99 percent reused water, 100 percent renewable electricity and a minimum of 20 percent recycled materials for Hybriq+ production.
One housekeeping note if you are searching for the brand: silestone.com now redirects to the Silestone section of cosentino.com, so the manufacturer specification for any color sits under the Cosentino colors catalog.
Silestone collections on our floor
Silestone is organized by collection rather than by color family, and the collection usually tells you more about the pattern than the name does. Eternal is the marble-look range. Le Chic is the veined range Cosentino rebuilt around Parisian and Victorian stone. Earthic and Urban Crush are the raw and concrete ranges. Suma is the newest group in our racks.

|---|---|---|
| Eternal | 11 | 2 |
| Le Chic | 9 | 1 |

Sunlit Days sits in the retired column. It was Cosentino first carbon neutral collection and one of the two launch collections for Hybriq+, so the four colors we still hold are the end of that run.
All 62 current Silestone colors, by tone
Tone is grouped the way we group every slab in the yard: light, medium and dark. Finishes and thicknesses in these tables are the ones Cosentino publishes for each color, not a general brand statement. If a thickness is not listed, the factory does not make that color in it.

Dark is the thin end of the current Silestone line. Five of the 62 current colors read dark, and three of the five sit in collections built on texture rather than veining. If your kitchen plan calls for a dark counter, compare these against our wider dark countertop range and our guide to black quartz countertops before you settle.
Polished or suede
Of the 62 current colors, 40 are polished only, 12 are suede only and 10 are made in both. Polished gives the reflective surface most people picture when they think of quartz. Suede is a low-sheen matte finish with a soft texture. On a dark color, suede shows fingerprints and dried water marks more readily than polished does, which is worth testing on a sample before you commit a whole island to it.
The 22 current colors available in suede: Blanc Élysée, Bohemian Flame, Brass Relish, Charcoal Soapstone, Cinder Craze, Concrete Pulse, Coral Clay Colour, Desert Silver, Et Calacatta Gold, Et Statuario, Ethereal Glow, Ffrom01, Ffrom02, Ffrom03, Lagoon, Lime Delight, Miami Vena, Nolita, Pearl Jasmine, Poblenou, Raw A, Raw D.
Thickness and slab size
Every one of the 62 current colors is listed in a single slab format, 128.74 by 62.60 inches. That is about 55.9 square feet of material per slab, and it is the number that decides if your island needs a seam.
| Thicknesses Cosentino lists | Current colors we stock | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 2.0 cm and 3.0 cm | 48 | Kitchen counters and islands. 3 cm needs no edge build-up. |
| 1.2 cm, 2.0 cm and 3.0 cm | 10 | Adds a 12 mm option for cladding, shower walls and furniture tops. |
| 1.2 cm, 1.5 cm, 2.0 cm and 3.0 cm | 2 | Widest range in the line. |
| 1.5 cm, 2.0 cm and 3.0 cm | 1 | Lyra. |
| 3.0 cm only | 1 | Concrete Pulse. |
A 10 foot 8 inch slab covers most single runs without a joint. An island longer than about 10 feet, or an L-shaped run that turns a corner, will need a seam regardless of color. The 1.2 cm option on 12 of the current colors is not a counter thickness. It is used for cladding, shower walls, furniture tops and the kind of thin edge detail that gets built up in the shop. For a counter, the real choice is 2 cm with a laminated edge or 3 cm solid, which is covered in our guide to countertop edge profiles.
21 Silestone colors we still hold that the factory has retired
These 21 colors no longer have a product page in Cosentino current US catalog. We still have slabs, and they still fabricate and install exactly like the rest of the line, but there is no reorder behind them. If one of these is the color you want, plan the whole job around the slabs on the floor and buy the material at one time, including any piece you might want later for a vanity or a bar top.
| Color | Collection | Tone |
|---|---|---|
| Silestone Ariel | Nebula Alpha | Light |
| Silestone Blanco City | Basiq | Light |
| Silestone Blanco Maple | Tropical Forest | Light |
| Silestone Blanco Norte14 | Mythology | Light |
| Silestone Blanco Orion | Nebula Alpha | Light |
| Silestone Cala Blue | Sunlit Days | Medium |
| Silestone Camden | Loft | Medium |
| Silestone Château Brown | Le Chic | Medium |
| Silestone Cincel Grey | Sunlit Days | Medium |
| Silestone Corktown | Loft | Dark |
| Silestone Et Marfil | Eternal | Light |
| Silestone Et Noir | Eternal | Dark |
| Silestone Ethereal Dusk | Ethereal | Light |
| Silestone Faro White | Sunlit Days | Light |
| Silestone Gris Expo | Mythology | Medium |
| Silestone Posidonia Green | Sunlit Days | Medium |
| Silestone Raw G | Earthic Ffrom | Dark |
| Silestone Rougui | Basiq | Medium |
| Silestone Seaport | Loft | Dark |
| Silestone Stellar Night | Stellar | Dark |
| Silestone White Zeus | Mythology | Light |
Sunlit Days accounts for four of them and Loft for three, which is the clearest sign of how fast Cosentino rotated the first Hybriq+ collections out of the catalog.
What a Silestone counter costs in North Jersey
Cosentino does not publish an installed price for Silestone, and any number you read online is a fabricator number rather than a factory one. Ours works the same way: the price depends on the color group, the square footage, the edge, the cutouts and how much of the job is seamed.
What we can give you as a fixed figure is our own house program. The 19 colors in our countertop deals collection are priced at 49, 59 or 69 dollars per square foot installed with a 35 square foot minimum, and that price covers the slab, fabrication, template and standard install. Those are Aqua Kitchen granite and quartz colors, not Silestone, so treat them as the floor of the market rather than a Silestone quote.
For Silestone itself, four things move the price:
- Collection. Heavily veined ranges such as Eternal and Le Chic cost more per slab than solid and speckled ranges such as Basiq and Mythology.
- Thickness. A 3 cm slab carries more material than a 2 cm slab with a laminated edge, and the edge build-up adds shop time.
- Seams and layout. A veined color seamed across an island has to be vein matched, which can mean buying a second slab to get the flow right.
- Cutouts and edges. Undermount sinks, cooktops, drainboards and anything beyond an eased or bullnose edge add machine time.
The honest way to price it is to pick the color, measure the kitchen and quote the real layout. We do the measure free, and you can ask for an estimate or book a home appointment without buying anything.
How we fabricate and install Silestone
Silestone is cut and finished in our own Wayne fabrication shop, not sent out to a third party. The sequence is the same for every slab:
- Slab selection. You walk the yard and pick the actual slabs, which matters on veined colors where no two sheets run the same.
- Laser template. We template the installed cabinets rather than working from drawings, so the counter matches the walls as built.
- Layout and seam placement. We mark where seams fall and how the veining crosses them before anything is cut.
- CNC cutting and edge work. Cutouts, edge profile and polishing are done in the shop.
- Install. Our own crews set the tops, not subcontractors. See how our installation works.
Two things we flag on every Silestone job. In our shop, overhangs past roughly 10 inches in 3 cm or 6 inches in 2 cm get a bracket or a corbel, and the support goes in before the top does. And Silestone is heat resistant rather than heat proof, so trivets are not optional under a pan straight off the burner.
Silestone against the other brands we stock
We carry four engineered surface brands in Wayne, and they do not overlap as much as the marketing suggests.
| Brand | Colors we stock | What it is known for |
|---|---|---|
| Silestone | 83 | Low-silica Hybriq+ composition, a published Q10 or Q40 label per color, polished and suede finishes. |
| Cambria | 165 | US manufacturing and the deepest design range on our floor. See our Cambria guide. |
| MSI Surfaces | 121 | Jumbo and super jumbo slab sizes and a published price tier per color. See our MSI guide. |
| Caesarstone | 89 | Quartz, porcelain and mineral surfaces in one brand. See our Caesarstone guide. |
If you are still deciding between materials rather than brands, start with how to choose a countertop material or the quartz and granite comparison. For color direction across the whole quartz range, our quartz countertop colors guide, the white quartz guide and the marble-look quartz guide cover the groups most North Jersey kitchens end up in.

Silestone photographs well and samples badly. A four inch chip cannot show you where a vein lands on a 10 foot island, and the difference between polished and suede on a dark color only reads in person. Our showroom at 1107 Route 23 South in Wayne has an 8,000 square foot slab yard attached, so you can see the full sheet you are buying, not a swatch of it.
What you can do in one visit: walk the Silestone racks, compare them against Cambria, MSI and Caesarstone on the same day and under the same lighting, sit down for a free 3D design of your kitchen, and get a measured quote. We have been fabricating and installing in North Jersey since 2006, and we offer financing on full kitchen projects. Call 973-706-5926 or book a time.
Frequently asked questions about Silestone countertops
What are the negatives of Silestone?
Three real ones. It is heat sensitive, so a hot pan set straight on the surface can scorch it or shock a seam. It is not UV stable, so it is an indoor material and will shift color in a sunroom or an outdoor kitchen. And the catalog moves fast: 21 of the 83 colors we stock have already been dropped by Cosentino, so a color you choose today may not be orderable in five years if you need a matching piece.
What is the difference between quartz and Silestone?
Silestone is a brand, quartz is the category. Cosentino now describes Silestone as a mineral low-silica surface rather than a quartz surface, because Hybriq+ replaced part of the quartz content with other minerals and recycled material. In a kitchen it behaves like the rest of the engineered category: non-porous, no sealing, stain resistant, heat sensitive.
Is Silestone a good countertop?
For an indoor kitchen or bath, yes. It needs no sealing, it resists household staining, and Cosentino backs it with a 25-year transferable warranty on the XM range. The two places it is the wrong choice are outdoors and anywhere it will take direct heat without a trivet.
Which is more expensive, Silestone or quartz?
The comparison does not hold, because Silestone is one of the quartz brands. Inside the quartz category, Silestone sits in the mid to upper range, above entry-level imported quartz and in the same band as Caesarstone and Cambria. The bigger price swing is between collections: an Eternal or Le Chic slab costs more than a Basiq or Mythology slab of the same size.
What are the most popular Silestone colors?
We will not guess at national sales figures. What our own racks show is where the demand sits: the marble-look collections are the deepest groups we carry, with 11 colors in Eternal and 9 in Le Chic, and 37 of the 62 current colors read light. The Calacatta and white-with-gray-veining group is what most North Jersey kitchens are asking for.
What are the most popular quartz countertop colors in 2026?
Across our whole quartz range the pattern is the same as the Silestone one. Light, veined, marble-look surfaces take the largest share of the floor, warm whites and creams have taken ground back from cool brilliant whites, and dark counters are mostly used as an island contrast rather than as the whole kitchen. Our quartz countertop colors guide breaks the full range down.
Is Silestone a high end quartz?
It is positioned at the upper end of the category and priced there. What you are paying for is consistency between slabs, a published specification for every color, a warranty that transfers with the house, and the low-silica composition that nothing in the budget end of the market offers.
Does Silestone come in a volcano finish?
Not in the colors we stock. Cosentino lists polished for 40 of our 62 current colors, suede for 12 and both for 10. Volcano was an earlier Silestone finish and still turns up in third-party guides, but it does not appear on the current product pages for any color in our racks.
Every Silestone color above links to its own page with the full specification. To see the complete range in one place, start at the Silestone collection, or compare it against the rest of our quartz countertops. If you want the slab in front of you, the showroom is at 1107 Route 23 South, Wayne NJ 07470, and the number is 973-706-5926.
