Gris Expo is Silestone's mid-tone gray quartz with a granular pattern that adds texture and depth across the field. The interplay of light and shadow in the granular surface gives the slab a more dimensional read than flat solid gray quartzes.
Solid gray quartzes deliver consistent color across the slab but can read flat across long cabinet runs, especially under even overhead lighting. The granular pattern in Gris Expo introduces fine variation across the surface, which catches light differently from any angle. That dimensionality keeps the gray from looking like a single block of paint, which is the trickiest thing to get right with mid-tone gray engineered surfaces.
Gris Expo carries transitional and contemporary kitchens, primary bath vanities, and accent counters in laundry rooms or butler's pantries where the gray should add weight without the formality of natural stone. It pairs cleanly with painted white, cream, or wood-toned cabinetry, brushed nickel or matte black hardware, and either oak or walnut flooring. The granular pattern also pairs well with mixed-tone backsplashes where solid gray would compete.
The granular pattern is engineered to distribute evenly across the slab, which means slab-to-slab variation is lower than for veined patterns. Pull a sample chip and view it on your counter under your real evening lighting before locking the order, since gray reads heavier in person than on a swatch and the granular detail shows best at larger scale.
