Wakefield is Omega Cabinetry's transitional raised-panel door with a beaded outside profile, built primarily on cherry. The bead detail along the outside frame gives the door a subtle craftsmanship cue that lifts a standard raised panel into something more deliberate.
A bead along the outside frame casts a fine shadow line that runs the full perimeter of the door, breaking up the surface without calling attention to itself. On cherry, the bead catches the warmth of the wood grain and gives the door a hand-finished look from a few feet away. The raised center panel adds depth, and the door reads rich without crossing into ornate.
This door style fits transitional kitchens that want the warmth of stained cherry without the heaviness of older raised-panel cabinetry. It carries traditional hardware comfortably, and the cherry takes mid-tone and darker stains beautifully. In a kitchen with white quartz or marble-look counters, the warmth of the wood becomes the design anchor; in a kitchen with darker stone tops, the bead detail still shows through and keeps the door from disappearing.
Cherry darkens noticeably with age and exposure to light over the first few years after install. That natural color shift is part of the wood's character. Pull a sample door in the stain you plan to order, and ask your dealer how the specific finish ages, so you know what the kitchen will look like in five years rather than just on day one.
