Tunisia is Omega Cabinetry's traditional cherry cabinet door with applied mitered molding around the panel, which adds a small architectural element of depth and character. The cherry wood and the molding work together for a kitchen that reads dressed and tailored without crossing into ornate.
Most traditional doors carry their detail in the panel itself, either as a raised field or a recessed reveal. Tunisia applies a separate mitered molding around the panel, which adds a third architectural layer to the door surface. That layered build reads more like a piece of furniture than typical kitchen cabinetry, especially on cherry where the wood grain shows through stained finishes with real warmth.
Tunisia suits traditional and warm-transitional kitchens, especially in older homes with formal dining adjacency or original wood millwork that should coordinate with the cabinetry. It pairs comfortably with travertine, leathered granite, marble-look quartz with warm veining, and unlacquered brass or oil-rubbed bronze hardware. Cherry takes mid-tone and darker stains beautifully, which gives the door real flexibility across warm-leaning palettes.
Cherry darkens noticeably with age and exposure to light over the first few years after install. That natural color shift is part of the wood and gives the kitchen real character over time, but it also means the cabinets will look different at year five than at install. Pull a sample door in the stain you plan to order, and ask your dealer how the specific finish ages, so you know what the kitchen will look like long-term.
