Summit Acrylic is a modern slab-style door from Kitchen Craft's Summit line in a high-gloss acrylic finish. The acrylic surface provides a hard-glossy surface that reads sleek and contemporary, suited to modern minimalist kitchens that want bold visual presence with maximum surface reflectivity.
Acrylic doors use a hard polymer surface laminated to a substrate panel, providing a finish that's harder, more scratch-resistant, and more uniformly reflective than painted MDF. The surface can be wiped without dulling, doesn't show brushwork or imperfections, and reads more substantial than basic high-gloss paint. The trade-off: visible scratches when they happen are harder to repair than painted alternatives.
Modern minimalist kitchens, urban lofts and apartments, contemporary architectural remodels, and design-led spaces where reflective surfaces are part of the design language. Summit Acrylic also works beautifully in smaller kitchens where the high-gloss reflectivity visually expands the space and adds light play that matte alternatives cannot match.
Slab acrylic doors require careful hardware selection: long bar pulls, slim T-bar profiles, and integrated edge pulls all suit the contemporary character. Push-to-open mechanisms can also work to keep the door surface uninterrupted. Skip ornate cup pulls and oversized traditional knobs, which fight the modern slab visual language.
Acrylic surfaces show fingerprints, smudges, and water spots more visibly than matte alternatives because the high-gloss reflectivity amplifies any surface mark. A daily wipe with microfiber and dish soap maintains the gloss. Skip abrasive scrubs and harsh degreasers that can dull or scratch the acrylic surface.
Order a sample door before placing the full kitchen. High-gloss acrylic reads very differently in person than in product photos.
