Summit is a modern slab-style door from Kitchen Craft's Summit line, distinct from the Acrylic variant. The standard Summit door uses painted or stained finishes on slab construction, providing modern visual lines without the high-gloss reflectivity of the acrylic option.

Summit vs. Summit Acrylic

Both share the same slab profile (clean flat front, no inset panel), but the standard Summit uses painted or stained surfaces while the Acrylic variant uses hard polymer laminate surfaces. Standard Summit reads softer and more matte; Acrylic reads sleeker and more reflective. Choose based on whether your kitchen direction wants the matte modernist or the high-gloss contemporary aesthetic.

Specifications

  • Style: Slab front, full overlay, no inset panel.
  • Construction: MDF or wood substrate with applied finish.
  • Finish: Multi-coat conversion paint or stain options.
  • Box: Plywood with dado-set back panel.
  • Hardware: Soft-close hinges, soft-close drawer glides.

Best Application

Modern minimalist kitchens, contemporary remodels with clean architectural lines, urban lofts and apartments, and design-led spaces where the cabinet material reads as a clean design plane. Standard Summit also works beautifully in larger kitchens where multiple uniform slab cabinet runs benefit from matte rather than reflective character.

Hardware Direction

Slab doors require careful hardware selection: long bar pulls, slim T-bar profiles, integrated edge pulls, or push-to-open mechanisms all suit the contemporary character. Skip ornate cup pulls and oversized traditional knobs, which fight the modern slab visual language. The hardware is part of the design statement.

Color Selection

Summit is available in the brand's full paint and stain palette. Modern contexts often pair best with neutral whites, deep greys, saturated dark colors, or refined wood stains. Confirm color choice with a sample door under your kitchen's actual lighting before committing to the full order.
