Onyx Indigo is the deep navy finish on Fabuwood's Onyx Shaker door, built on the Allure box. The color is a saturated, slightly desaturated navy with a slight matte sheen, which keeps it grounded in a kitchen instead of pulling toward a brighter cobalt.
A flat recessed Shaker panel gives a saturated color a place to land. The eye reads the panel and the inside reveal, the shadow line breaks up the surface, and the depth of the indigo reads richer than it would on a flat slab door. The painted MDF takes the topcoat smoothly, and the conversion-varnish seal handles the splash and steam of a working kitchen.
Indigo carries an island in a white-perimeter kitchen, or a full color-block kitchen for buyers who want the cabinetry to set the design tone. It pairs cleanly with white or cream quartz, brushed brass or unlacquered brass hardware, and warm wood floors. In a smaller kitchen, run the indigo on the lower cabinets only and keep the uppers light to preserve a sense of openness.
Saturated blues shift more between daylight and warm LED than most other paint colors. Pull a door sample and view it next to your counter slab and floor sample under your kitchen's actual evening lighting before you commit the full order.
