New Carrara Marmi is the updated edition of MSI's Carrara-look quartz — a soft cool-white base with delicate grey veining that captures the subtle, fine-pattern character of Italian Carrara marble. The "New" version refines vein flow and base tone consistency over the original.
Carrara marble is the softer, more diffused cousin of Calacatta. Where Calacatta has bold dramatic veins on a bright white base, Carrara has finer, more frequent veining on a cooler white-grey base. The pattern reads quieter and more textural. Carrara Marmi captures that softer character: refined, classic, less visually demanding than Calacatta-style designs.
Traditional and transitional kitchens where the counter wants pattern but not statement, classic bathrooms with marble heritage, and smaller spaces where bold Calacatta veining would overwhelm. The softer pattern is also forgiving on long counter runs , seams blend more easily than they do in bold-vein designs.
Painted white Shaker, soft cream slab, soft sage or pale blue cabinets, and natural oak all pair cleanly. The cool undertone in Carrara Marmi makes it less ideal next to warm cherry or honey-stained wood, where the temperature mismatch can read disjointed. Brushed nickel and polished chrome both work; brass tilts the warmth slightly.
Walk a full slab at the nearest distributor before fabrication. Even on softer Carrara-style designs, vein placement varies, and a swatch may show finer detail than the slab assigned to your job.
