Luxor Smoky Grey from CNC Cabinetry pairs a thick, framed five-piece door with a warm, mid-tone grey finish that reads neither cold blue nor brown. The door profile sits closer to a contemporary square-bead than a traditional Shaker, which gives the line a slightly more architectural look in a kitchen run.
The grey is layered over a solid wood frame with an MDF center panel, which is standard for painted lines because MDF holds paint without the seasonal hairline cracking you sometimes get on solid wood. Under warm LED lighting it pulls slightly taupe; under daylight it reads more neutral. That makes it forgiving against white quartz and warm walnut floors alike.
This finish is most often spec'd for transitional kitchens, primary baths, and laundry rooms where the homeowner wants color but not commitment to a saturated tone. It bridges well with brushed nickel, matte black, and unlacquered brass hardware.
Order a door sample before locking the order. Painted greys shift more under different bulb temperatures than any other finish family, and what looks right under a 3000K showroom can read greenish under a 4000K kitchen pendant. Hold the sample against your countertop, backsplash, and floor at the same time, in the room where it will live, before approving production.
