Keelie Stillwater is a painted Shaker door from Kitchen Craft's Keelie line in a deep blue-grey that reads contemplative and refined. The "Stillwater" name suggests the visual character: the depth and quiet of still deep water, captured in a saturated blue-grey paint without the brightness of saturated navy.
Stillwater sits in the deep blue-grey range with a strong cool undertone. Under 2700K bulbs the door reads as muted navy with grey depth; under 4000K daylight the cool blue lifts and the slate character becomes more apparent. The desaturated quality keeps the color from going too saturated or too flat — it lands in a sophisticated middle ground.
Two routes work cleanly: Stillwater island with painted white perimeter for a strong color story, or full-perimeter Stillwater in larger kitchens where the deep blue-grey can anchor without overwhelming. The color also performs well in butler's pantries, libraries, and home offices where the saturated quiet quality suits the use.
Aged brass and unlacquered brass hardware register beautifully against the deep blue-grey . The warmth of the brass against the cool door reads as designed contrast. Brushed nickel works as the safer neutral. Skip polished chrome, which fights the depth of the saturated color. For counters, white-veined quartz with grey or warm cream tones works on counter; pure-white solid quartz can blur the cabinet line.
Order a sample door before placing the full kitchen. Saturated blue-greys photograph differently than they live, and seeing the actual finish next to your floor and counter samples prevents surprises at install. View at three lighting conditions for a complete read.
