Keelie Cosmo is a painted Shaker door from Kitchen Craft's Keelie line in a deep cosmic-toned color — somewhere between deep navy and saturated dark blue with rich color depth. The "Cosmo" name suggests the visual character: the dark blue depth of deep space rather than the brighter range of standard navy paint.
Cosmo sits in the saturated dark-blue range with a slight cool undertone. Under 2700K bulbs the door deepens dramatically and reads close to ink-black-blue; under 4000K daylight the saturated blue character becomes more apparent. The color holds its blueness across lighting conditions better than soft dusty blues, which can drift toward grey under different bulbs.
Dramatic transitional kitchens, formal dining-adjacent spaces, and design-led remodels where the color is meant to be the room's signature element. Cosmo island paired with painted white perimeter remains one of the most resilient color combinations in US kitchens. Full-perimeter Cosmo works in larger kitchens with strong natural light and warm flooring to balance the depth.
Aged brass and unlacquered brass hardware register beautifully against the deep blue. Brushed nickel works as the safer neutral that won't date. Skip polished chrome, which can read jarring against the saturated color. For counters, white-veined quartz with grey accents, soft cream marble look-alikes, and honed black granite all pair cleanly. Skip warm-cream surfaces, which fight the cool saturated blue.
Order a sample door and view it next to your flooring and counter under your kitchen's lighting. Saturated dark blues shift more between bulb temperatures than buyers expect, and seeing the finish in your specific space prevents commitment surprises.
