Inverness Cobalt is part of Cambria's Inverness collection — a saturated deep blue quartz with classical character and substantial color depth. The "Cobalt" name reflects the visual character: rich saturated blue with dramatic depth, captured in a non-porous engineered surface.
The base sits in the saturated deep blue range with rich cobalt-jewel tones distinguishing it from softer dusty navies or cooler greys. Pattern variation is subtle with broken vein flow that adds depth without competing for visual attention. Under 2700K bulbs the saturated blue deepens dramatically; under 4000K daylight the cobalt jewel character lifts and reads more crisp.
Dramatic transitional kitchens with refined palettes, formal dining-adjacent spaces, design-led remodels where the counter is meant to be the room's signature element, and homes with substantial natural light to balance the depth. Inverness Cobalt pairs beautifully against painted white Shaker as a strong contrast island, or as full-perimeter cabinetry in larger formal kitchens.
The deep cobalt pairs cleanly with painted white Shaker, soft cream slab, walnut frameless, natural rift oak, and painted off-white cabinetry. Aged brass, brushed brass, and unlacquered brass hardware register beautifully . The warm metal contrasts the cool jewel tone in a way that reads designed. Skip warm-cream surfaces, which fight the cool saturated character.
Walk a full slab at a Cambria distributor before fabrication. Saturated dark designs read differently between bulb temperatures than neutral options.
