Highland Sage is the muted green-painted Shaker in CNC's Highland line — a soft, dusty sage with the same Shaker door profile used across the collection's other colors. It's the line CNC offers when a kitchen wants color without going saturated.
The Highland build is a plywood box with a solid-wood face frame and a five-piece Shaker door, finished in a low-sheen sage paint with a clear conversion-varnish topcoat. The green is dusty rather than mossy , closer to a sage herb tone than a deep forest. That keeps the line reading transitional rather than statement.
Highland Sage works in cottage and farmhouse kitchens, in transitional remodels with butcher-block or marble counters, and as an island color paired with a white perimeter. It also fits well in mudrooms and pantries where a softer color complements the rest of the home's palette.
Unlacquered brass and antique brass play beautifully against the sage; brushed nickel works but reads safer. White quartz, soapstone-look surfaces, and warm-veined marble counters all hold up well; cold gray quartz can fight the green's warmth.
Sage shifts more than expected between cool LED and warm incandescent lighting. Bring the door sample home and view it at the same time of day you most often use the kitchen before locking in.
