Coventry - Satin Starless

$35.00

Coventry in Satin Starless is a thermofoil Shaker door from Kitchen Craft's Coventry line in a deep saturated near-black satin finish. The thermofoil construction provides hard-wearing surface character with the dramatic depth of the Starless color in an accessible price point.

The Color and Construction Together

Starless sits in the deepest near-black range, distinct from softer charcoals or saturated dark navies. On thermofoil construction (heat-laminated PVC over MDF substrate), the deep color reads uniform and consistent across the door surface — no brushwork, no paint variation, no touch-up needed. The satin sheen keeps the dark color from going too sheen-reflective while still catching light enough to read as polished cabinetry.

Specifications

  • Style: Coventry Shaker, full overlay, thermofoil surface.
  • Construction: Routed MDF substrate with thermofoil PVC surface.
  • Finish: Heat-laminated satin thermofoil in Starless near-black.
  • Box: Plywood with dado-set back panel.
  • Hardware: Soft-close hinges, soft-close drawer glides.

Best Application

Dramatic transitional kitchens with substantial natural light, modern moody remodels, family kitchens where the saturated dark cabinet color benefits from thermofoil's uniform daily-wear performance, and design-led rental properties or secondary kitchens. Coventry Starless works beautifully as a contrasting island paired with painted white perimeter cabinetry.

Hardware Direction

Brushed brass, aged brass, and unlacquered brass hardware register beautifully against the deep dark base. Polished chrome and matte black both work as lower-contrast alternatives. For counters, white-veined quartz with bold contrast and soft Calacatta look-alikes pair cleanly.

Care Notes

Saturated near-black thermofoil shows fingerprints more readily than light or matte finishes. Wipe with microfiber and dish soap. Avoid harsh degreasers that can damage the PVC surface. Keep heat sources away from cabinet faces , extended heat can cause thermofoil delamination.

Order a sample door before placing the full kitchen. Saturated near-blacks read very differently in person than in product photos.
