Real Kitchens, Real Stories

Coventry Flint is Kitchen Craft's deep gray thermofoil slab in the Coventry line, designed for contemporary kitchens that want a smooth painted-look surface with real visual weight. The Flint finish reads as a deeper architectural gray, darker than typical mid-tone gray cabinets but softer than full charcoal.
Thermofoil is a vinyl film vacuum-pressed onto an MDF substrate, sealed at the edges so moisture cannot get in. On a slab door, the construction reads as a smooth painted surface from a few feet away, with no visible seam between face and edge. The trade-off versus painted wood is honest: thermofoil cannot be refinished like paint, so a damaged door is replaced rather than touched up. In return, you get consistent color across runs and lower upfront cost than painted wood.
Coventry Flint carries contemporary kitchens, condo and apartment remodels, hospitality and multifamily specs where consistency across many units matters, and rental upgrades where the kitchen needs strong visual weight at a controlled cost. It pairs comfortably with quartz countertops in white or marble-look patterns, brushed brass or matte black hardware, and either edge-pull or bar-pull profiles. The deeper gray reads especially well alongside marble-look counters with strong veining, where the contrast becomes the design moment.
Keep thermofoil doors away from direct heat sources; sustained heat near the topcoat can lift the foil at the edges over time. Use proper spacers around ovens and dishwashers, which is standard install practice. Order a sample door first to confirm the deep Flint gray reads the way you want under your kitchen lighting.
