5118 Calacatta Scoria is a textural marble-look quartz from Caesarstone — a soft white base with bold dramatic veining that flows in irregular sweeps with rich pigmented depth. The "Scoria" reference suggests the dramatic earthy character: vein patterns that read like volcanic scoria or richly weathered Italian quarried marble.
The base sits as a clean white with neutral-warm undertone, broken by bold defined veining in deep grey-charcoal and amber-tan flowing in dramatic irregular patterns. Vein scale is medium-to-large with broken edges and translucent quality. The polished finish amplifies the dramatic contrast and gives the slab substantial visual presence.
Dramatic transitional kitchens, formal dining-adjacent spaces, hospitality interiors (boutique bars, design-led restaurants), and homes where the counter is meant to anchor the room with substantial visual character. Calacatta Scoria works especially well on islands with waterfall returns and as full-height splash.
The dramatic character pairs cleanly with painted white Shaker, walnut frameless, rift oak, and softer painted greens or blues. Aged brass and unlacquered brass hardware register beautifully against the warm vein character. Brushed nickel works as the safer neutral. The bold pattern provides contrast, so cabinet color is free to lean either traditional or contemporary.
Order a swatch and view it under three lighting conditions before committing. Vein-matched seaming is essential on a slab with this much defined dramatic pattern presence.
