Windsor Brass Satin Ridge is one of Cambria's metallic-veined quartz designs — a refined white base carrying brass-toned veins with a subtle ridge texture along the vein line. The sample chip is the right way to evaluate how the brass picks up your kitchen lighting before you spec the full slab.
Most quartz samples are flat polished surfaces. The Windsor Brass Satin Ridge sample shows something different: a low-relief ridge along the metallic vein, which catches light differently from the surrounding polished field. In a kitchen with under-cabinet lighting or pendant fixtures, that ridge animates the slab in a way a digital photo cannot communicate.
If your design includes unlacquered brass, satin brass, or champagne bronze hardware, hold the sample alongside the hardware sample under the same light source. The brass vein in Windsor Brass Satin Ridge is a specific tone, and matching it (or intentionally contrasting it) shapes the kitchen's whole metal finish story.
Once the chip approves the design, ask the fabricator for slab photographs. Metallic vein density varies meaningfully between slabs, and seam placement can either dramatize or quiet that effect. The chip earns approval; the slab earns the layout.
