Versailles Mountain Stream is the soft blue-gray side of CNC's Versailles slim-Shaker line — a muted blue with enough gray in it to read as a near-neutral. It's spec'd most often when a kitchen wants color but needs to coexist with existing wood floors and warm-toned counters.
The line uses Versailles' slimmer Shaker door , narrower rail and stile widths than a standard Shaker , finished in a calm blue-gray paint. The narrower frame keeps the colored cabinet from feeling heavy, which is part of why this color works as a full-kitchen run rather than just an accent island.
Whole-kitchen runs in transitional homes, primary bath vanities where the soft blue lifts a marble counter, and two-tone kitchens with white or cream upper cabinets. Also reads well in coastal-leaning homes where the rest of the room carries softer warm tones.
Brushed brass, unlacquered brass, and polished nickel all read sharply against this blue-gray. White and warm-cream quartz counters work; cool pure-white quartz can flatten the cabinet color.
Confirm the paint under both natural and artificial lighting before locking in. Blue-grays can shift toward straight gray under cool LEDs and read more blue under warm bulbs, and the difference matters for hardware selection.
