The Newport Adirondack Blue door is CNC Cabinetry's modern Shaker in a deep slate-leaning blue, built on birch with a 3/4-inch frame and a veneered center panel. The Newport reads cleaner and tighter than older Shaker doors thanks to the narrower frame proportion.
Most Shaker doors use a 2- to 2-1/2-inch frame around the panel. The Newport runs a 3/4-inch frame, which gives the door a slimmer, more architectural read. On a saturated blue finish, that narrower frame keeps the panel field as the visual focus and lets the color carry the door. Built on birch, the frame takes paint cleanly with no grain telegraphing through the topcoat.
Adirondack Blue carries an island in a white-perimeter kitchen, a full color-block kitchen, or a primary bath vanity where the cabinetry can serve as the focal point. It pairs cleanly with white or light quartz tops, unlacquered brass or polished nickel hardware, and warm wood floors. In smaller kitchens, run the blue on lower cabinets only and keep uppers light to keep the room from feeling closed in.
Saturated slate blues read very differently between daylight and warm LED. Pull a door sample and view it next to your counter slab under your real evening lighting before locking in the order, especially if your kitchen does not get strong direct daylight during the day.
