Montclair Lace is the soft warm-white finish on Cubitac's Montclair door, part of the Imperial line. The Montclair uses a slim Shaker frame with a reverse raised center panel, which gives the door a refined, almost couture read that sets it apart from standard Shaker cabinetry.
Most Shaker doors run a 2-inch frame around a flat recessed panel. The Montclair uses a slimmer frame with a reverse raised center, where the panel steps slightly proud of the frame rather than recessing into it. The result reads cleaner and more architectural than a traditional Shaker, with the warm-white finish letting the door's geometry do the design work rather than the color.
Montclair Lace carries contemporary and transitional kitchens where the cabinetry is meant to be the design moment, primary bath vanities, and condo or apartment remodels where the kitchen is visible from a designed living space. It pairs cleanly with marble-look quartz, brushed brass or warm nickel hardware, and white oak or walnut flooring. The warm-white tone keeps the kitchen from reading sterile, which is a common pitfall in clean modern white spaces.
The reverse raised panel and the slim frame both read more dimensional in person than on a flat photo or a small swatch. Pull a door sample and view it under your kitchen's actual fixtures before locking in the order, especially if you are running long cabinet runs where the panel rhythm will be visible from across the room.
