Lexington Natural with Mocha Glaze pairs a light natural wood stain with a soft mocha-toned accent glaze that settles into the door's profile lines. The result is a Shaker cabinet that reads bright and warm with hand-finished detail in the recesses, without the contrast drama of a black glaze.
Natural stain on the Lexington door lets the wood grain read clearly through a light, near-clear topcoat that warms the wood without darkening it significantly. The mocha glaze is then applied across the door, mostly wiped from the flat surfaces, and left to settle into the rail-stile joints, the inside corners, and the edge profiles. That deposits a brown-toned shadow line in the recesses, sharpening the door's geometry while staying in the same color family as the base stain.
Traditional kitchens, country and farmhouse remodels, primary baths in warm light palettes, and any project where the homeowner wants light wood with hand-finished detail. The natural-mocha combination pairs especially well with cream tile floors, warm wood floors, and tumbled marble or travertine backsplashes.
Sample doors are essential for glazed finishes because the glaze is partly hand-applied and varies slightly between production runs. A sample tells you which side of the production range your kitchen will land on. For care, dust the recessed profile lines with a soft brush before wiping the flat surfaces, which preserves the glaze deposits across years of normal kitchen cleaning.
