Lexington Cappuccino is Kitchen Craft's warm mid-tone brown finish on the Lexington recessed-panel door, built on alder. The cappuccino tone reads as a soft latte-brown with creamy undertones, lighter than chestnut and warmer than gray-brown, which makes it a flexible choice for transitional kitchens.
Alder is a softer hardwood with a mild grain pattern that takes warm-toned stains beautifully. On Cappuccino, the grain reads subtly through the stain, giving the door real wood character without the bold variation of oak or hickory. The Lexington recessed-panel face keeps the door clean and architectural, which suits the soft warmth of the cappuccino tone well.
This finish carries transitional and warm-traditional kitchens, especially in homes with cream-painted millwork or warm stone counters. It pairs comfortably with travertine, leathered granite, marble-look quartz with warm veining, and unlacquered brass or warm nickel hardware. In smaller kitchens, the lighter mid-tone keeps the warmth from compressing the room the way deeper browns can.
Use a microfiber cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid orange-oil and citrus-solvent cleaners on stained alder, since they can cloud the topcoat over time. Pull a sample door before final spec, since alder absorbs stain unevenly across the grain and the variation is what gives the kitchen its furniture-like character. View the sample under your kitchen lighting to confirm the warmth reads the way you want.
