Keelie Cirrus Black Glaze pairs a soft Cirrus grey paint with a hand-applied black glaze that settles into the door's profile lines. The result is a sophisticated grey door with crisp shadow definition at the rail-and-stile joints — sharper than smoke-glaze or pewter-glaze versions in the same family.
Cirrus and Nimbus are both soft greys in the line, but they sit in different temperature zones. Cirrus reads slightly warmer with a barely-greige undertone; Nimbus reads slightly cooler with a barely-blue undertone. Black glaze on Cirrus creates high-contrast shadow lines against the warm-leaning base, producing a layered finish that reads transitional rather than fully cool or fully warm.
Transitional kitchens that bridge warm and cool palettes, classic-modern remodels, and homes that want dimensional grey without committing to either fully warm or fully cool character. Cirrus Black Glaze pairs beautifully as a perimeter run with a contrasting white island, or as a single anchor section (vanity, butler's pantry) in a larger neutral kitchen.
Brushed nickel and aged brass both register cleanly against the layered grey-and-black. The warm-leaning Cirrus base accepts brass tones better than the cooler Nimbus base does. Matte black blends into the glaze, reducing overall contrast in a way that suits minimalist contexts.
Glazed finishes show wear at high-touch edges sooner than flat painted doors. Wipe with a damp microfiber and avoid abrasive scrubs. Touch-up kits from the same line cover light edge wear at corners over time.
Always order a real door sample. Glaze technique varies door to door, and the warm-leaning grey reads differently under your kitchen's lighting than in a showroom display.
