Keelie Alabaster Smoke Glaze pairs the warm Alabaster cream paint with a hand-applied smoke glaze that produces an unusual warm-cool layered finish. The smoke glaze brings cool depth into the warm cream base, creating dimensional character that reads sophisticated and unexpected.
Alabaster reads as a soft warm cream, and smoke glaze sits in deep cool grey-charcoal territory. Together they create a layered finish where the warm base and cool glaze produce subtle temperature contrast at the rail-and-stile joints. The cool smoke against warm cream reads as designed elegance rather than tone-on-tone harmony.
Transitional kitchens that bridge warm and cool palettes, classical-modern remodels that want refined dimensional character, and homes that pair warm cabinetry with cool stone counters or accents. Alabaster Smoke Glaze also performs well as a single feature section (vanity, butler's pantry, accent cabinet) where the unusual warm-cool layering reads as designed.
Aged brass and brushed brass register beautifully against the warm cream base, while smoke glaze in the rail-and-stile joints provides cool counterpoint. Brushed nickel works as the safer neutral that bridges the temperature contrast. Matte black creates strong contrast against the warm base. For counters, both warm cream-veined quartz and cool grey-veined quartz can work depending on which temperature direction you want to lean.
Glazed finishes show wear at high-touch edges sooner than flat painted doors. Wipe with a damp microfiber and skip abrasives. Touch-up kits from the line cover light corner wear over years.
Order a real door sample. The warm-cool tension in this finish is hard to evaluate from product photos and reads differently under varied lighting conditions.
