Keelie Alabaster Pewter Glaze pairs the warm Alabaster cream paint with a hand-applied pewter glaze that introduces a cool grey-brown shadow into the warm base. The combination produces an unusual transitional finish where the warm cream and cool pewter create temperature interplay at the rail-and-stile joints.
Pewter glaze is a cool grey-brown that's distinctly cooler than mocha glaze but warmer than smoke glaze. On the warm Alabaster cream, pewter creates a softer transitional layered finish: less dramatic than mocha-on-cream warm-harmony, more harmonious than smoke-on-cream warm-cool tension. The result reads sophisticated and balanced.
Transitional kitchens that bridge warm-traditional and cool-modern palettes, design-led remodels that want refined dimensional character without committing to either fully warm or fully cool direction, and homes with mixed-temperature surrounding materials. Alabaster Pewter Glaze pairs beautifully with both warm wood floors and cool stone backsplashes, threading the middle.
The temperature flexibility makes this finish unusually versatile. Aged brass and brushed brass register against the warm Alabaster base; brushed nickel works against the pewter glaze element. Matte black creates strong contrast that reads designed. For counters, warm cream-veined quartz, balanced grey-and-cream marble look-alikes, and soft warm marble all complement the door.
Glazed finishes show wear at high-touch edges sooner than flat painted doors. Wipe with a damp microfiber and avoid abrasives. Touch-up kits from the line cover light corner wear over time.
Order a real door sample. The warm-cool transitional character reads differently under varied lighting and shows different at full scale than at swatch size.
