The Gray Lagoon Character
The base grey is intentionally muted, neither cool blue nor warm taupe, and the veining is soft-edged rather than sharp. That combination keeps the slab from reading busy on a long counter run, while still giving the surface visible character. Under daylight the grey reads truer; under warm lighting it picks up a slight warmth that flatters wood cabinetry.

Selection Note
Soft-veined slabs are the most forgiving on seam placement because the pattern is non-directional and low-contrast. Even so, ask the fabricator for slab photographs before fabrication to plan the seam in a low-vein-density area of the slab. That layout discipline gives you a near-invisible joint and a counter that reads as one continuous surface.
