The Blackpool quartz sample shows Cambria's Blackpool design — a deep blue-black base with fine particle pattern. Blackpool sits among the brand's deepest neutral options and reads as a near-solid dark surface from normal viewing distance, with subtle particle movement revealed at counter height.
Blackpool's base is a near-black with a slight blue cast that distinguishes it from Hamilton's neutral charcoal. The pattern is fine-scale particle distribution rather than veining, which means the slab reads solid and grounded rather than dramatic. The blue undertone reveals itself under cool LED lighting more than under warm incandescent.
Modern and contemporary kitchens with white or wood cabinets where the dark counter anchors the room, primary baths designed around brass or matte-black plumbing, and contract specs that need a forgiving surface for service-side counters. The blue undertone pairs especially well with cool-toned cabinetry and stainless appliances.
Dark quartz shows water spots and fingerprints more visibly than mid-tone surfaces. Matte finish hides this better than high-polish , request a matte sample alongside the standard polish if you anticipate heavy daily use. Wipe with microfiber and mild cleaner; abrasive pads can leave fine scratches that catch light against the dark field.
Inspect at a fabricator before committing if the install is a large perimeter run, since lot-to-lot tone variation on dark quartz can be more noticeable than on lighter patterns.
