513 Striata from Caesarstone is a directional, banded design — a slab built around horizontal striations rather than veining, in a palette of layered greys and creams. It's a quartz for projects that want movement and texture without the marble-look dominance of veined designs.
The design is built on horizontal layered bands of soft grey and cream tones, varying in width across the slab. That horizontal directionality is the design's signature, and it's what separates Striata from non-directional patterned quartzes. On a long perimeter run, the bands reinforce the horizontal line of the counter; on a waterfall island, they carry that line over the cabinet edge.
Contemporary and transitional kitchens, modern baths, hospitality projects, and any space where directional pattern is part of the design intent. It's particularly strong in long, narrow rooms where the horizontal banding visually extends the run.
Because Striata is directional, layout planning is non-negotiable. Ask the fabricator to mark slab orientation before cutting, and confirm whether the bands will run horizontally across the counter (most common) or vertically on a waterfall end. A waterfall with bands running vertical reads architectural; a waterfall with bands running horizontal reads continuous. Both work, but they make different statements.
