5100 Vanilla Noir is a deep-toned quartz from Caesarstone with a near-black base and subtle gold-cream vein flecks that catch light in unexpected ways. The "Vanilla Noir" name suggests the duality — dark, rich background with warm light accents that lift the design out of pure black territory.
The base is a deep near-black with warm undertone, broken by sparse gold-cream flecks and very fine vein traces that read like distant stars or aged metallic flake. Under low light the slab reads close to true black; under direct light, the warm flecks become visible and add character without breaking into bold pattern. The polished finish amplifies the depth.
Dramatic transitional kitchens, formal dining-adjacent spaces, and homes where the counter is meant to anchor a strong design rather than support it. Vanilla Noir reads beautifully against painted white Shaker, soft cream slab, and natural rift oak. With dark cabinetry the slab blends into a near-monochromatic look that needs strong lighting to keep from feeling closed in.
Aged brass and unlacquered brass hardware register beautifully against the deep base . The warmth in the brass connects to the gold flecks in the slab. Matte black tightens the look modern but blends visually into the dark base. Skip polished chrome, which reads too cold against the warm depth. For backsplash, a quieter material in cream or natural stone keeps the counter as the focus.
Polished dark quartz shows water spots and fingerprints more visibly than lighter or matte finishes. A daily wipe with microfiber and dish soap keeps the surface sharp. Skip vinegar, ammonia, and harsh degreasers, which dull the polished finish over years.
Walk a full slab at a distributor before fabrication. The gold flecks vary in density between slabs, and the design's character depends on that variation reading well at full scale.
