Kitchen and Bath Designer

A high-end, full-service Kitchen & Bath showroom in Wayne, NJ is offering a unique job opportunity — a position of a Kitchen & Bath Designer in stock and custom cabinetry. We are looking for a personable and engaging individual with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare cabinetry layouts and quotes for Aqua Kitchen and Bath Design Center customers;
• Manage customer remodel projects through effective relationships with customers, other designers, sales and marketing staff, showroom associates, installation teams, and any other applicable contacts, both internally and externally;
• Prepare quotes for customers, create and email drawings and renderings for customers, including floor and elevation plans to scale with measurements, basic installation notes, perspectives, molding details, colors, hardware/accessory details and items lists;
• Meet with customers and take measurements if necessary;
• Design and sell granite and quartz slabs;
• Convert or modify design plans to match customer revision requests;
• Effectively manage assigned projects within required deadlines;
• Ensure maximum sales and customer satisfaction by identifying customer needs and priorities to determine best product offering, additional options, and modifications;
• Remaining current on kitchen design trends.

• Proficiency in 2020 Design Software desired but not necessary (TRAINING PROVIDED);
• Formal technical design training, a degree in design or related field, or relevant work experience preferred but not necessary;
• Technical competence in Microsoft Office required;
• Ability to understand customer needs, interior design, and construction business;
• Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills;
• Excellent organization skills and proactive problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment;
• Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet required deadlines.
